How to use
- Add participants in individual rows, or paste a list, then choose 2–8 teams. You need at least as many participants as teams; the maximum is 200 participants.
- Generate teams. Each participant entry is assigned exactly once, and team sizes differ by no more than one. Ten players across three teams become groups of four, three and three.
- Rename your teams, copy the results or shuffle again. Duplicate names are kept as separate participants; add a surname or initial if you want to tell them apart.
- Play Survey Battle opens the game with these team names ready in its setup. Participants stay listed here; the game uses team names and scores. An existing saved match is not overwritten until you choose to start a new one.
About this tool
Use this free random team generator for party games, family quizzes or friendly group activities. Player entries are shuffled before assignment, and the result is balanced by participant count, not by skill or experience. You can generate two to eight teams and edit each team name. Your list and results stay in this browser when storage is available; no participant names are sent to analytics.
