How to play
- Choose 2-8 teams and Standard, Challenge or Mixed. One non-playing host operates the shared screen while teams use paper and pens or answer privately.
- Play five questions in each round: Legends & Folklore, Creatures of the Night, Customs & Superstitions, Horror Cinema and The Haunted Library.
- All teams discuss each question and commit an answer before the host presses Reveal answer. There is no automatic timer or typing requirement.
- The host selects every correct team and confirms the award. The first three rounds are worth 100 points per answer, cinema 200 and the library 300. Wrong answers lose nothing.

- Accept equivalent wording and recognizable names. Follow the film version, book or folklore tradition specified by the question. Answer notes give accepted alternatives.

- Seen questions and match progress are stored in this browser when available. History is separate from other games and resets only when you choose Reset question history.
- The host taps the controls while all teams answer together. No individual player phones are required.

A little more about the game
Haunted Quiz is a Halloween party trivia game for teens and adults sharing one screen. Its 200 original English questions are divided into five banks of 40: folklore, supernatural creatures, customs and superstitions, horror cinema, and Gothic literature. Topics range from cursed bargains and protective charms to vampire stories and haunted-house novels. The quiz refers to specific stories and traditions where versions differ. Each match contains 25 questions for 2-8 teams, with a non-playing host and simultaneous answers. Standard and Challenge offer different levels of detail; Mixed combines them. Higher-value final rounds allow teams to catch up. There is no timer, account or player connection requirement. Questions involve fictional horror, death and some historical persecution without graphic imagery; plot spoilers are possible. Film and book references identify quiz subjects and do not imply affiliation.
